Pretty Pastel Doily

I am LOVING this pretty pastel birthday party. I have had a slight obession with doily's lately and this is another gorgeous little way of using one, so creatively on a party hat, or under some eclectic lolly jars.

The Fabulous Four...

Last Monday night, the most fashionably clad stars came out for the Sex and the City 2 movie premiere in - where else?- New York City. xx

As the anticipation here in Australia is growing, the trailer promises us that 'things will happen that we never thought possible'. I am full of excitement and cannot wait to see what's in store for us as our four favourite Manhattanites; Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda will no doubtedly take us on a fabulous journey filled with passion, love, glamour and lots of fashion! The girls will be taken to an exotic location,we see the return of Aidan, BIG, and Carrie's Christian Louboutin Glitter Pumps.  I'm glad to see that Patricia Field is on board in the fashion department, renown for creating her own savvy styles and trends that are replicated across the globe.

I am sure there will be lots of lovely ladies (and men!) heading out to watch the movie in style and I can say that I am very lucky indeed to be heading out next Wednesday to watch the premiere in true SATC style; gold class cinema & sipping on a Cosmopolitan!

There have been lots of SATC parties popping up across blog land, and here is a lovely inspiration board...The perfect way to watch Sex and the City Pt 1, with a girls night in.

I dug out some photos of me on the Sex and the City Tour in NYC, 2009.  What a fabulous 30th birthday present from my DH, an experience I will cherish forever...xx

To Market, To Market

Wow! What a busy last few days it has been! I am super excited to be a part of the gorgeous boutique children's and babies markets, Allie's Attic for the first time! I have teamed up with My Little Jedi and you can find us together in a stall outdoors :)

As these are my first ever markets to showcase my products, I didn't realise how much time is involved with handmaking a large amount of products in one sitting and organising  how the table/ stall is going to be styled on the day!

I have been super busy creating beautiful grosgrain bows for girls in classic and printed styles which I know you will love! You will also find some gorgeous little wool felt flowers on snap clips, in a sorbet of colours. Lots of other gorgeous little accessories for girls including some lovely little bracelets xx.

As you all know, I recently began styling cucpake toppers to help create that gorgeous party dessert table. I am thrilled to be able to showcase some of my styles {never seen before} at Allie's Attic! I know that you will love them as much as I do! And there will be so many more styles to come! Along with the cupcake toppers, you can find the retro stripe party straws and I'm excited to announce I have my hands on some RED stripe straws {limited amount} so be quick!
I am looking forward to meeting fellow small business owners/WAHM'S and fans... I can't wait!

Be sure to pop by and say hi, I would love to meet you!

It's a Fairytale Thing!

Something that has caught my eye more recently is the classic Fairytale Story is making a very welcomed comeback. These days, a good classic story from the past can sometimes be overshadowed by the current tv show characters turned story books. I love a good fairytale and infact back when my son Kayden was 3 years old, our ritual bedtime story routine was an oral version of the 'Three Little Pigs'! This went on for quite a while, and we mastered a long and short version of it! :)

I am currently working on a new collection of cupcake toppers, in addition to the latest collection, that can be personalised with your child's name, their age and happy birthday. There will be a unique range for both girls and boys and they will feature a lovely blend of colours and prints (not your average ones!)

The first lot I will be putting to use is for my dear niece's 4th birthday party this weekend. A princess theme has been planned so I will be busy getting to work on a lovely little set of cupcake toppers to tie in with her theme... :) I will make sure to post some photos to show you!

The lovely Mama Loves to Shop Blog recently posted a collection of Red Riding Hood inspired products. Take a look at the fabulous products featured here.

One of my favourite fairytales is Little Red Riding Hood, which is yours? Xx

Let the Wild Rumpus Begin!

Where the Wild Things Are is one of my all time favourite picture books, so it's not surprising that I am thinking of basing Maddox's 3rd birthday party on this classic theme. Mind you, the birthday is not until October! What can I say, I love thinking about parties, styling ideas and colour palettes months in advance.

|Pin the tail on Max party game| Wild Thing banner-Etsy|
Recently, my thoughts of a Wild Things birthday party led me to create some cupcake toppers based on Max and his wild rumpus adventure. Using natural earth tones of forest green and chocolate, the cupcake toppers come in an assortment of 12 different prints. I picture them being styled in a mud chocolate cupcake with a delicious topping of chocolate shavings. Such a wonderful and unique party theme for boys, easily lends itself not only to the styling fun, but also to the simplicity of the party games such as; pin the tail on Max, storytime, wild rumpus dance and make a gold crown craft.

D is for Deer...

I'm not quite sure what it is about them? Perhaps it's their serenity, connection with nature, or their doe-eyed appearance? What ever it may be, I am loving deers right now. I also feel a past time connection as a little girl growing up, watching Bambi and reading a Golden Book at bedtime. It's their sweetness that inspired me to create a Little Deer clip collection. With a retro classic and modern feel, I'm sure you will love them just as much as I do!

I found some other sweet deer products and came up with this inspiration board.

a BIG thank you!

{Chic Mother & Baby Feature}

It wasn't until today after reading a truly wonderful and affirming blog post by Blooming in Japan that I realised I felt EXACTLY the same way! Mon Tresor was born a little over 2 years ago and during this time I have been juggling part time work & and my little business on the side. Lately, with the introduction to the glorious world of blogging, and creating a business page through Facebook, my little business is really starting to take off into an exciting new place because I am working hard and putting alot of effort into getting my label out there and I have to say I am loving this new place! From the networking to meeting other gorgeous people who understand and are in a similar situation as me, I love being exposed to reading new blogs and becoming familiar with the continually growing talents from so many different people. I love discovering new businesses and oooing and ahhing over their gorgeous products. I was just telling a dear friend this morning over a latte, how exciting and wonderful these past few weeks have been for me, as I have met and communicated online with so many different people throughout Australia and it is so amazing that everyone supports and shares their knowledge and love of this industry with one another.
That being said, I would love to thank a few people in particular over the past month or so, who have helped to promote my little business and feature my new products, I am forever grateful....The ever so talented Sarah @ Style Me Gorgeous, Thetis @ the amazing Little Sooti Blog, the lovely stylish ladies @  Chic Mother and Baby, the online retailers of my products, all the amazing people who are part of Skout and of course my 'likers'.

Thank you thank you thank you for making this such a worthwile and rewarding experience!

M is for Mum...

Here are some of my 'favourites' for Mother's Day...Now, of course I can't have it all, but it's nice to be able to dream and imagine once in a while!
I love the perfumes by Juicy Couture and I recently discovered their yummy new perfume, Couture Couture on a mini shopping spree in David Jones. Another brand I'm loving at the moment is the jewellery collection by 'House of Harlow', and the cream sunburst necklace would look fabulous next to my black HH necklace I purchased from Kitson, LA.
Brunch at Zimzala (one of my favourite places to dine) followed by some Lindt Macaroons, sounds just divine. A trip to Pepe's Paperie at Bondi, oh, and a surprise trip to LA & New York aboard V Australia would be alright too ;)

Your little ones can also create a little Picasso masterpiece for you with this super cute colouring in printable from Style Me Gorgeous.

I Dream of a Room...

{Leighton's Nursery Oh dee doh}
Yay! I got my hands on a copy of the stylishly fabulous Little One Baby Magazine today!
With a latte in one hand and magazine in the other, I relaxed by the pool in the yard to enjoy reading Little One Baby whilst my boys rode their trikes.

I got to thinking about how exciting and creative it is to style a baby nursery. My boys are now past that stage, and I don't see another bubba coming along anytime soon! So, my next project is to refine my boy's rooms. There are so many gorgeous accessories available now, compared to 6 years ago, but it doesn't make it any easier! There are so many things I want to buy right now but I don't know where I would begin! I would love to see some more examples and inspirations of some Kids Rooms, once they are past the 2 year old mark. As Louise, from the stylish Table Tonic ~ Kids Rooms That Rock says "...When your little one migrates from a cot to a bed, their bedroom tends to demand a visual re-think"...This is definately true. Even though I am quite content with our new white bunk bed purchase & quilted shams that we bought in New York's Pottery Barn, there's always room to add more things...
I spent some time this afternoon 'ooohing and ahhhing' over kids rooms, particularly boys rooms, over at Oh Dee Doh and Table Tonic. I love the use of dark bold paint colours on the walls and of course the pom poms as opposed to a hanging mobile...Hmm... perhaps some ideas there I can utilise...stay posted!
If you have any ideas or inspirations on boys rooms to share, I'd love to hear from you...X

Story time

Books Books Books...I simply cannot get enough of children’s picture books. Over the past few years we have collected and created our own little library at home for the boys to enjoy and further develop their love of reading. Each and every night it has become a routine where my dear 6yr old selects a book or two and we sit together to read and be taken on a beautiful journey.

Reading, I believe, fosters warmth, love, security and most importantly pleasure. It should not only be a bedtime routine, but reading at any given opportunity to your child is a blessing.

I stumbled across some of Mem Fox’s Ten read-aloud commandments

1. Spend at least ten wildly happy minutes every single day reading aloud. 2. Read with joy and enjoyment: real enjoyment for yourself and great joy for the listeners. 3. Read the stories that the kids love, over and over and over again.

The experts say that children need 1,000 stories read to them before they begin to learn to read for themselves. Sounds like a lot? It’s just three stories a day over a year. ...

I’ve put together a little board of some of our favourite books in our collection at home that we love to read over and over again...X
