Spectacular Circus Bizircus Party!

{Dessert table & jewelled circus elephant}

I am so passionate about children's parties and love seeing them all over blog land, especially since I am preparing to plan for my son's 3rd birthday party.

{Colour coordinated candy in stunning glass jars and vessels}

I am amazed at this truly spectacular Circus themed birthday party by the ever so talented and inspiring Katie, from The Ivory Social. Over the past few weeks I kept up to date with Katie's preparations through her Facebook page and Blog and I could not wait to see the end result. And what a fabulous result it was!!

{Mini circus tent & cake pops}

{Milk bottles with stripey straws}

Every detail was covered and what's more is that many stunning pieces were created by Katie herself! From the jewelled circus animals to create a circus environment to the deliciously styled circus cookies. I also love the stlying of the dessert table and the use of red stripey straws and individually wrapped in a cone popcorn, complete with elephant embellishment.

{Gorgeous topiary, stripey cups, mini cake stands and handmade party hats}

{Layered rainbow cake with handmade flag bunting}

So many elements I adore and my absolue favourites would definately have to be the rainbow birthday cake complete with bunting and the perfect cake pops! A stunning array of colour co-ordinated candy and handmade wrapped chocolates. Throw in a magician and some cupcake decorating for the children, a truly amazing and gorgeous party which no doubt, was enjoyed by all!

Take Me Away

{Image via Celebrations at Home}
I recently discovered another stunning blog , Celebrations at Home with a party theme I just had to share with you. A Travel themed party, perfect for a Bon Voyage, a 40th birthday celebration or Graduation gathering.

The pale blue, soft latte and chocolate colours used are one of my favourite combinations. I absoultely adore the use of old vintage style suitcases that have been used to add height, as well as hold a selection of sweets.

The mouth watering delicious desserts have been created with the colour palette.

Fresh flowers create a sense of warmth.

A mixture of blue pom poms and lanterns to create a calm sky.
And of course the little thank you parcel, complete with postage stamp & blue stripe twine-available at mon tresor

Balloons Make Me Happy

{image via martha stewart}

I don't quite know what it is about them; perhaps its there free, whimsical, happy, floating nature...or watching the expression of excitement and joy on my boys' face as they let one go and watch it float up towards the sky?

I am in love with all the balloons at the moment and cannot wait to use them at Maddox's upcoming 3rd birthday. Birhdays, weddings, celebrations or just because...

I came across this gorgeousness recently, a perfect detail to pretty up any space. Love the little miracles that paper can create. And did I mention that wall paper in the background is divine along with the flowers, pinwheels & colour palette?

Chic & stylish.

My {BIG} Week

{Gorgeous flowers from my sister}

Ok, so where do I start?!

The best way to describe this past week would be busy, exciting, whirlwind! As most of you may already know, the newly launched website Mon Tresor, went live last Thursday. I am thrilled with the outcome and must say a BIG thank you to the gorgeous design work by Sarah Style Me Gorgeous  and the fabulous  Emma from Morris Bear Designs . Lots of new lovely customers and orders have kept me very busy and I would love to thank everyone for their support and beautiful feedback, it is very much appreciated x

These past few days, along with the excitement of the website launch, I came into contact with a stomach bug, so I have been feeling under the weather the past few days. I have kept my mind off the 'yuk' feeling by ordering some new products for our website- all coming soon, so stay tuned! I am certainly looking forward to KIS later this week!

At the moment I am loving the postman and courier deliveries-they are definately my new best friends! I love having a new package arrive and as my 2.5 year old said to me the other day, "mummy, it's christmas?' I had to giggle! Lots of boxes and products everywhere, I am thankful for having a decent size area in the house but where to store it all? The hallway with stacked cardboard boxes was not looking too good! So a trip to Ikea in Sydney was definately the answer. Fabulous storage solutions with a fabulous price tag! But my oh my, our so called '1 hour quick in and out trip' turned into a 3 hour saga- the drive, the parking, the hustle and bustle inside with trolleys and then locating the products in the warehouse and finally waiting in the ever so long queue! While I made some fantastic purchases, I don't think I will be back there for a little while!

{What would I do without Ikea storage?!}

Along with this week also came the highly anticipated arrival of the Spring/Summer'10 Shop 4 Kids Magazine, where you will find Mon Tresor's floral vintage inspired bobbies on page 49. Very exciting! Always being an avid S4K reader and having some handmade goodies featured in the past, definately put a huge smile across my face! Along with Mon Tresor's feature, you can find so many other talented designers in there so make sure you go out and grab your copy!

Another exciting direction Mon Tresor will be taking is our Party Hire For Stylish Sydney Parties. A range of gorgeous details available to hire so that you can create the perfect dessert table setting for your next birthday/christening/wedding/engagement/high tea and other special gathering. These pieces are just totally divine and I have truly enjoyed shopping for them, and let me tell you I have definately been fuelling my new obsession for cake stands and candy jars! If you are from Sydney and would like to make an enquiry for your upcoming event, I would love to hear from you!

And lastly, don't forget we have free shipping for the month of August! So take advantage of this fabulous offer and while you are visiting, sign up to our Newsletter! Mon Tresor x
