Christmas Tables & Inspirations

Oh I love this time of the year! Christmas carols, desserts, shopping for gifts, decorating the Christmas tree and wrapping gifts...it is the perfect time to spend time with loved ones and celebrate Jesus' birth. I have begun Christmas decorating at my place and Christmas baking will soon begin in my kitchen! I recently had an intimate Christmas Mon Tresor high tea, and will share some photos soon. I am continually inspired by some of my favourite blogs for Christmas dessert & craft ideas, wrapping and decorations. Below is a collection of some of my favourites, and as I find more gorgeousness over the coming weeks, I will be sure to post them to inspire you x

Vintage Keys

Simple or ornate, rusty or polished, vintage keys can lend a charming addition to any type of decor. Attach them to a card or ribbon, use one as a charm on your bouquet; fill a fancy dish or frame one, the possibilities are endless.

I am totally loving them at the moment and here are some gorgeous images I came across the blogosphere that are inspiring to me. Oh and also add to my list of all things ''key'' are the jonathan adler greek key china plates & delicious key lime tart.

Tori & Dean's Renewal Vows

My Sweet & Saucy is one of my favourite blogs to read and look at drool worthy images of their magnificent work. They are also behind the amazing team of talented people to create this special dayfor Tori & Dean's renewal vows. The colour palette of yellow, grey and white is one of my favourites and you will also see that there were personal and eclectic touches throughout this gorgeous party that had a mix of modern, vintage & elegance. Elizabeth Messina was the photographer on the day and the images captured are nothing short of stunning. Thank you to Melody for allowing me to share these images to my readers.

Paris vs New York {A Tally of Two Cities}

Those of you who know me quite well understand my love for New York City as well as my admiration for all things French ~ hence my little business name, Mon Tresor. So, when I came across this tally of my two favourite cities in the world from one of my favourite design blogs Table Tonic, I had to share with my readers! Love the visual & friendly matches between the two cities. Enjoy x

Hello Honeycomb

{Martha Stewart}

Honeycomb tissue paper ball decorations have a retro & vintage feel to them, some might even say a little old fashioned. I love how Martha Stewart has an eye for detail and her creative genius is very inspiring to say the least. She has taken the good old honeycomb decoration and adapted it to be one of the latest in trend hanging decorations for parties and also for the home. I also adore the honeycomb teamed with the rice paper sunburst fan. Below are some photographs to inspire you. Perfect for any event & now available at Mon Tresor.

Have a beautiful weekend Xx

A Happy Halloween It Was!

Wow! What a Happy Halloween I had! Words cannot even begin to explain the way I am feeling at the moment. Still completely ecstatic and excited to have been featured on the ever so inspiring Amy Atlas blog on Monday for my Halloween dessert table. This is such an honor and dream come true and it re-affirms my love and passion for creating and styling parties, since I began to dabble in it a little over 2 years ago. For my efforts and hard work to be recognised by Amy Atlas-  it is such a reward and I am ever so grateful.

Halloween celebrations are becoming more popular and this year more than ever before. I decided to have an intimate Halloween dinner party with some fun for the adults and children. Plus, it was another celebration where I could have the opportunity to style a dessert table!

Not wanting to focus on just traditional Halloween colours, I turned to dessert queen and my idol, Amy Atlas for some inspiration. I absolutely adore Amy's range for Cocodot  and I immediately fell in love with the turquoise blue/orange colour palette. I added black and white for sophisticated chic and elegance and a little spookiness.

A black and white doily inspired backdrop, black victorian frame {my current favourite backdrop atm!}  filled with orange fabric hanging on orange grosgrain and my beloved collection of Rosanna Inc cake stands and glass candy jars filled with delicious candy- including blue m&m's {imported from usa!} and some candy corn {which I was so excited to find here in Aust, yum!}

I had so much fun styling this Halloween table and I look forward to continuing my passion for dessert styling for all events! x
