REAL PARTY SUBMISSION: Vintage Carnival Back to School

The lovely Dorangela from Two Prince Theatre Bakery recently styled a fabulous vintage carnival back to school block party. I love the idea of celebrating the beginning of a new school term, a tradition that is not as prevalent in Australia. I love how the whole street was involved and it looks like so much fun was had with all the traditional carnvial style games. Wonderful work Dorangela!

As Dorangela tells ''Our entire street got together and threw a big Vintage Carnival. Two Prince Bakery Theater styled the party and Bushel & Peck Papers designed the invitations and all the food and game signage.

Each neighbor set up a carnival themed activity in front of their house. We had professional face painters, balloon artist, a water slide bouncer, photo booth, balloon darts, ring toss and even a prize table! We ate old fashioned freshly popped popcorn and cotton candy, corn dogs and lots of sweet treats like Marshmallow clowns!

We had a great time celebrating the end of summer and another school year for our children. It was extra special for me because my son was beginning Kindergarten!

REAL PARTY SUBMISSION: Aeroplane Party!

candy bar in coordinated blue, red and white candy
Up up and away! Thank you to Kylie from The Little Oak Tree for sending through this adorable aeroplane themed birthday party for her son Callum's first birthday party. I love the fresh colour palette of sky blue, red and white. It is always such a crisp and classic combination and it perfectly fitting for an aeroplane theme.

chocolate bars & muslin bags personalised with a stamp

The stamped wooden spoons create that extra special detail and the personalised muslin bags are a great gift for guests to take home as they can be used to store little trinkets. I cannot go past the homemade marshmellow, it is the perfect shade of blue and Kylie made most of the desserts along with her talented mum who made the cake! Amazing!

(REAL PARTY SUBMISSION) Barbie Party

The lovely Kristie put together this sweet Barbie party for her daughters Emerson & Milla. Kristie created a party that incorporated a Barbie silhouette and incorporated the classic colours of black, white and pink. " Emerson loves anything Glam and Barbie, so after a bit of googling and applying my creative hat this is what i came up with".

As told by Kristie, "Little girls got to take home glam skirts and boys bow ties (that my Mum and I made both), they also took home stunning patternd bags with stationery included. There was a disco and a glitterising bar (as in the Barbie movie).

I made all the featured food, including the cake and the toppers (party circles) were from Gwynn Watson Store on Etsy. Everything else was made by my Mum and I".

Thank you Kristie for your submission. If you would like your party featured, send an email to suzanna@montresor.com.au with up to 10 photographs.

{REAL PARTY} Ava's Strawberry Lemonade Party

I received a sweet strawberry lemonade party in my inbox by the gorgeous Kristina from Modern Frills. I have been an avid fan of Kristina's blog for quite a while now, and I am excited to share the gorgeous party she styled for her daughter Ava. I adore the cake stands, crate & bunting, there are so many adorable elements that come together beautifully. Well done Kristina! x

"Strawberry Lemonade is a favorite of the birthday girl so it was an easy choice for the party theme. Stefanie of Anne and Blue Paperie took my ideas and created a perfect vintage inspired birthday invitation along with party printables to coordinate with the theme.

Once the invitations were in the mail, I began the dessert table preparations. I started by looking for a white tablecloth that had a vintage feel. I was unable to find exactly what I was looking for so I purchased a simple white tablecloth from Target. I went with a size larger than I actually needed. After cutting the tablecloth down to the correct size and hemming the edge, I used the extra fabric to add a simple ruffle around the edges.

The backdrop of the dessert table was made using the "Happy Birthday" banner by Anna and Blue Paperie. I also made a few fabric flowers from vintage inspired kitchen towels and some remnant fabric using fabric stiffener (purchased at a local craft store) and a tutorial from Jones Design Company

The rest of the dessert table came together with cupcakes, fresh strawberries and some amazing cookies by Callye of The Adventures of Sweet Sugarbelle. The birthday girl and her friends sipped lemonade and danced in tutus with her dance teacher. It was a perfect day!"

REAL PARTY SUBMISSION: Herbie Party!

Marisol, owner of the Ritzy Market- flowers and event design sent in her son's Herbie inspired party all the way from Mexico City! I grew up watching the Herbie movie and I was constantly surrounded by vintage Volkswagon Beetles (my father's hobby is to find & restore them) so I immediately connected with this party.

I love the bright primary colours Marisol used and the clever way  the table runner featuring Herbie's racing number was used. It is a fresh change to see some healthy snacks incorporated onto a party table & I also love the printed labels, favor boxes & colour co-ordinated snacks! Well done Marisol, thank you for sharing!
