Today we welcome our new blog sponsor Bianca, of Milk Baby Designs.

Milk Baby Designs creates handmade pompoms ideal to embellish your cakes, cupcakes or use as hanging decorations for parties. As told by Bianca, " the reason why I decided to start my own little business is so i could spend all the time in the world at home with my 4 month old daughter.

I did not want to miss out on everything and watching her grow up".
Bianca loves to create things, try new DIY ideas & loves sharing her to great finds. "I have an obsession with decorating anything so i decided why not start my own pom pom business because i love making them so much. They are a great feature for any occasion & it also gives me a reason to have them at my parties.
Milk Baby Designs handmakes every pom pom with time & love. They are made with only the best quality tissue paper & each order is unique and suited to your needs.
"My inspiration for actually starting my own business came from seeing so many other mums being able to juggle both a creative business from home whilst caring for the children, so I thought I would give it a try too''.

Halloween Candy Display

Halloween candy display 2011

I don't know who is more excited about Halloween this year, me or my two boys! I am thinking perhaps it is because I was able to set up and decorate a small Halloween inspired candy display in my dining room at home. I was excited to incorporate some of my purchases from my recent trip to NYC which includes candy, chocolate, jars, frame & pumpkin.

This year we will be off trick or treating around our local streets. I can't wait!

Take a look at my Halloween Victorian inspired dessert table featured recently on one of my favourite pages ''Hostess with the Mostess''. I incorporated the colours of orange, black and white with a hint of pale blue.

In a fortnight I will be styling a Halloween 1st Birthday party together with Couture Cupcakes & Cookies. I can't wait to share the photos with you.

Christmas in a Cloche

Mon Tresor Christmas in a cloche

With Halloween only a fortnight away, I am still all about the Orange & Black, but I can't help but think ahead about my favourite season of all- Christmas!

Today I had some fun using some props and my Christmas colour palette for 2011, inspired by my recent visit to New York City. I did so much shopping and one of my favourite department stores was Bergdorf Goodman. Totally and utterly on another level. To be frank, nothing here in Sydney even compares.

So I have chosen to work with some natural tones mixed in with some old & new. White, seafoam green, aqua blue, chocolate & antique gold. Love love love!

Here is a little peek at some fun I had today with my lovely friend Marie from Couture Cupcakes & Cookies & her absolutely amazing cookies that were exactly what I was after!  I played with some baubles, a tassle, a gorgeous seafoam Christmas tree cookie & popped a small sized cloche over it. What are your colours for Christmas 2011?
